July 1, 2010 - Reviewing the U.S. Supreme Court Term

This week, the U.S. Supreme Court wraps up its spring term with a much-anticipated ruling on gun rights while Senators question court nominee Elena Kagan about her judicial philosophy as her nominiation process begins. 

Professor Glenn Smith looks back at the court’s biggest rulings of the term and looks ahead to how Kagan may influence the court if approved. Smith serves as a professor of constitutional law at California Western and a visiting professor of political science at UC San Diego.
