
This week, the international entertainment arts expo known as Comic-Con descends on San Diego, bringing much-needed tourism revenue, a little fun, and a critical eye to an underappreciated form of literature, the comic book. No longer relegated to childhood, comics and graphic novels inform, entertain and inspire. They can also serve as an educational tool.
