William “Bill” Healy recently returned to the West Coast to lead the Development efforts for his alma mater. He has extensive experience as a construction litigation attorney, as a college basketball coach, and as a leader in law school philanthropy. He most recently served as the Director of Strategic Initiatives for Villanova University School of Law in Philadelphia. Bill received his bachelor’s degree in Industrial Relations from St. Joseph’s University, where he was a member of two NCAA Tournament basketball teams, and his J.D. from California Western School of Law.

Melissa Wells joined California Western in 2013 as the Associate Director of Development, Annual Fund. She is responsible for the development, management, and implementation of the School’s annual giving program. Prior to her work at the law school, Melissa served as Development and Communications Coordinator for the Development and Alumni Relations Department at National University. A San Diego native, Melissa received her bachelor’s degree in Literary Journalism from the University of California, Irvine and her M.B.A. from National University.

Luke Dumas is the Development Coordinator. He is responsible for all aspects of managing the development database, including batch updates, queries, data extraction, and reporting, as well as all aspects of gift processing and donor acknowledgements. He also provides support to the development team in a variety of departmental initiatives. Luke comes to California Western from Raise the Bar, LLC, where he worked as a Grant Writer. He holds a master's degree in creative writing from the University of Edinburgh and a bachelor's degree in English literature from the University of Chicago, both with academic distinction.
